The second Yangtze River Delta International Cultural Industries Expo opened at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai on November 21.Sun Zhijun, deputy head of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, visited the exhibition booth of the group and fully affirmed the new public cultural service mode initiated by the group.

Integrated construction brings vitality to traditional library

At group stand, a series of figures are very eye-catching: within four months’ operation, the total number of visitors to the library is 516000 and the number of documents borrowed is 332000, ranking first among 124 city and county libraries in Anhui Province,which demonstrates the remarkable achievement of Lu'an library, the first municipal public  commissioned operation library launched by the group.Sun Zhijun highly praised this kind of public service innovative mode in which the government buys the service, the readers put forward the demand, and the enterprise designs and operates the library.He asked relevant departments of the CPC Central Publicity Department to conduct in-depth research.

Shared reading empowers national reading

  In July 2017, the group launched the world first shared bookstore , and the new mode of shared reading has been highly recognized by readers. Up to now, the group has opened more than 100 shared bookstores in Beijing, Shanghai, Anhui and other places, with 620000 registered app users. At the same time, the group is also committed to building urban reading spaces and smart reading spots, opening cultural services at home, and constantly empowering reading for the public. It has built 87 smart reading spots and more than 80 urban reading spaces.

Visual teaching materials make science more wonderful

At the exhibition, the group also displays the advanced achievements in the research and development of digital education products - visual teaching material Beauty of Science. Dr. Liang Yan,the main founder of the R & D team is an international scientific visualization expert and associate professor from University of Science and Technology of China. The products use advanced scientific visualization technology to bring science content with artistic presentation. At present, Beauty of Science platform has covered more than 3300 primary schools in China and achieved good teaching results.

The Yangtze River Delta International Cultural Industries Expo is co- sponsored and organized by the Publicity Department of the Party committee of Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui provinces. With the theme of "building a cultural industry community in the Yangtze River Delta" , this year’s expo showcases the good development momentum and outstanding achievement in pursuing the integrated cultural development across the delta region.The four-day expo attracted 870 exhibitors from the delta region, other areas in China and overseas enterprises,including 85 from Anhui Province.
